Araç açıklaması
1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible in Carrara Green. This is an original Biarritz, one of only 1,285 built, and this particular car is number 40 off the production line – an early production example that collectors genuinely appreciate.
The car is finished in the rare and desirable “Triple Green” combination: paint, interior and soft-top all matching in the same shade. The hydraulic convertible top system has been almost completely renewed, with only the canvas itself being original — still in very good condition and matching the car beautifully. The power windows and power seat operate as they should, and even the original radio still works.
Condition & Driving
I’ve driven the car a lot this summer, and it has recently received a full service. It’s not a concours restoration, but a very honest, well-kept Biarritz that you can actually enjoy on the road. The car drives exactly as a 60’s Cadillac should: smooth, comfortable and effortless.
Brakes are new all around. The frame and underside are clean and rust-free, with a very original appearance.
It currently runs a single carburetor instead of the original triple setup. This makes it run more stable and predictable, although the cruise control no longer functions because of it. An electric fuel pump has been added for reliability. The car still has its original and hard-to-find Biarritz hubcaps.
Factory option EZ-Eye glass is present as well — Cadillac’s lightly tinted safety glass that reduces glare and heat.
The 1960 Eldorado Biarritz is one of the most iconic examples of Cadillac’s Jet-Age luxury era. With its distinctive tailfins, long elegant lines and extensive chrome trim, it remains one of the most collectible American convertibles of the period.
Triple Green cars are especially sought after, and early-production examples like this one do not come up often.
A rare and beautiful Eldorado Biarritz in its original color, well-maintained, rust-free, great to drive and highly collectible. A stylish, honest classic that works equally well as a centerpiece for a collection or as a convertible to truly enjoy.
Serious inquiries are welcome.
