Sprint 1.5 QV

Beautiful and rare Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.5 QV finished in Nero
Car registered from new in Portugal where it is located approximately 1H north of Lisbon
Car was stored for a considerable time until the previous owner disinterred it and completed required mechanical rehabilitation and at the same time repainted the car in the correct Alfa Romeo Nero black.
Since purchasing the car I have undertaken a major rebuild which was finished in 2022. The car has since completed just over 1800 km.
Rebuild included:

• Fully rebuilt, series correct (30146), motor. Motor was rebuilt by Dave Ashburn of Brunswick Motorsport () https://www.brunswickracing.co.uk/and now produces approximately 135 useable HP.
• Rebuild included rehoning bores, reseating valves and fitting harder valve seats, slightly higher cams to improve HP but not lose low down torque, 40mm carburetors, ITG air filters & trumpets, full balance etc.
• Rebuilt 1.2ti 5 speed gearbox
• Alfa 33 ventilated disc brake conversion and rebuilt and plated brake calipers
• H&R 35mm stiffened springs all round
• New shock absorbers all round
• New front roller bearings fitted
• All rubber bushes replaced with Powermax classic polyurethane items
• Bespoke exhaust manifold and full exhaust system.

In addition to mechanical rebuild the following have also been completed:

• Powder coating of original genuine Sprint (not 33) 14 “ Speedline alloys including spare
• Fitting 4 new Toyo Proxies 185 x 65 tyres
• Renewing side bolster cloth on drivers side seat using original NOS fabric.
• Recovering steering wheel, handbrake and gearlever gaiter with correct black leather

The car comes with all many original parts which were replaced in the rebuild. These include:

• Original inlet manifold and airbox
• Original front brake discs and calipers
• Original springs
• Original shock absorbers (2 need to be recharged)
• Original exhaust.
• Car also comes with complete original qv seat insert sections

Whilst not concourse, the car is in excellent condition and needs some minor finishing to bring it to a pristine condition.
Alfasuds and sprint derivitives are less common than 105 series models and are seeing an increase in value as their scarcity is appreciated.
This car is one of very few in Portugal in this condition and an alfista will recognize its value and the work which has been complete to bring the car to this standard.

Personal and video inspection gladly accomodated.
Can deliver in Europe at Buyer cost if buyer unable to visit the car.
